Enabling STIG using the command-line interface
Use the following commands to enable STIG from the command-line interface.
Before you enable STIG, it is recommended that you complete the following prerequisites. However, not completing the prerequisites does not prevent you from enabling STIG. You can complete these requirements after you enable the STIG option.
Configure two NTP servers to synchronize the time across cluster nodes.
Configure two DNS servers for the cluster.
Configure an SMTP server to enable notifications.
To enable STIG:
- Log on to the Access command-line interface by opening an SSH session to the management console IP as an administrator.
- In the Access command-line interface, run the following command:
system
- Type the following command:
System> security stig
The enable, show, and precheck options are displayed.
- To run the precheck, enter the following command:
System> security stig precheck
NTP Check : PASS Email Check : PASS DNS Check : PASS
- To enable STIG on both the nodes:
System> security stig enable
