The following table provides the naming requirements when assigning roles to AD/LDAP users.

Guideline | Description |

Starts with | Must begin with an alphabetic character and the rest of the string should be from the following character set: A-Za-z0-9_- Must not start with hyphen (-) or underscore (_). |
Length | LDAP: Length can be up to 74 characters. AD: Length can be up to 20 characters. |
Case | AD user names are case-insensitive. LDAP user names are case-sensitive. |
Cannot contain | Space (blank) |
