About configuring CIFS for Active Directory (AD) domain mode

This section assumes that an Active Directory (AD) domain has already been configured and that Access Appliance can communicate with the AD domain controller (DC) over the network. The AD domain controller is also referred to as the AD server.

Before you configure CIFS, open the nsswitch.conf file and check the entry in the line which has the password. Ensure that the line has winbind as the first entry.
