Formatting a disk
You can format or reinitialize a disk. If the disk does not belong to any disk group, the format disk operation erases the first 100-MB space on the disk(s).
To format a disk
- Prerequisites:
Disks must be initialized and discovered by the cluster.
- Infrastructure > Disks: Select the disk that you want to format.
- Click the Actions menu (vertical ellipsis) from the right side of the row in the UI and click Format.
- Follow the wizard prompts.
- View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
