Configuring AD/LDAP using the GUI

You can use the Access Appliance GUI to configure an AD or LDAP user.

Prerequisites:

Configure DNS to resolve AD and LDAP server domains on the Access Appliance cluster using the network dns set commands.
Ensure host resolution is querying DNS by checking nsswitch configurations using the network nsswitch show command.
Ensure that the password and groups are authenticated by winbind.
Ensure that the time difference between AD/LDAP server and the Access Appliance cluster is less than 5 minutes.

To configure AD or LDAP user

Go to Setiings > Directory Services management. Click Configure.
In the Configure Directory Services form, select the Directory Type. Select Active Directory for an AD user and Open LDAP for an LDAP user. Enter all the details on the form. Click Configure.
Once configuration is complete, the available configurations appear on the same page. Click on the individual hostname or the server IP to see the details of the configuration.
