To activate a long-term data retention policy

1. Prerequisites:

   Create a storage pool for the policy.

   For the LRT On-Premises + Cloud policy, you must have registered a cloud service.

2. Click Activate for one of following policy:

   • LTR On-Premises + Cloud

   • LTR On-Premises

3. Select the storage pool that you want to associate with the policy.
4. Select the cloud subscription if you selected the LTR On-Premises + Cloud policy.
5. View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.

To deactivate a long-term data retention policy

1. Prerequisites:

   Activate the selected long-term data retention policy.

2. Click Deactivate for the desired policy.
3. View the Recent Activity panel for the status of the task.
