Recover Salesforce Records

Before you proceed with recovery, ensure that you have reviewed the recovery considerations.

To recover Salesforce records

  1. In Cloud Protection Servicee, go to Sources.
  2. On the Sources page, select the required Salesforce source.
  3. Click Recover Records.
  4. To find specific records, enter the record name in the Search field. To view all records, including non recoverable records, select Show non recoverable objects.
  5. Point to the required object, and then select Show Records.

    You can filter records based on the Created date.

  6. Select the checkboxes for the records that you want to recover, and then select Next Recover Options.
  7. Under Recover To, select one of the following options:
    • Original Location: Recovers data to its original location.
    • New Location: Recovers data to an alternate Salesforce domain. Select the required registered source from the list.
  8. (Optional) Enable Overwrite Existing Data to allow overwriting existing records at the target location.
  9. (Optional) Select Show Analysis to view the relationship overview between records.
  10. Under Recovery Options, configure the following as required:
    • Continue on Error: Allows the recovery to continue even if some items fail.
    • (Optional) Modify the Task Name.
  11. Click Recover to initiate the recovery.

The recovery task starts, and Salesforce records are recovered based on the selected snapshot and recovery options.
