Recover Jira Cloud
Use this procedure to recover data in the protected Jira Cloud instance.
Before You Begin
- Ensure that the Jira instance is already protected.
To recover a Jira instance
- In Cloud Protection Service, go to Sources.
- From the Source Type filter, select Jira.
- Click the required Jira instance.
- On the Objects tab, verify that the source shows the Protected status.
- Click Recover to start the recovery process.
-
On the New Recovery page:
- Confirm that the latest snapshot is selected by default.
- Review the source URL and snapshot details.
-
Under Recover To, select one of the following options:
- Original Location: Recovers data to the same Jira Cloud instance.
- New Location: Recovers data to an alternate Jira Cloud instance. You need to select the required registered Jira source from the list.
-
(Optional) Toggle the Overwrite Existing Data option to enable overwriting existing records at the target location.
Recover operations can impact existing data. If partial data is already present at the target location, do not enable Overwrite Existing Data. Enabling this option overwrites current data with snapshot data and can lead to data duplication.
-
Under Recovery Options, configure the following as required:
- Continue on Error: Allows the recovery to continue even if some items fail.
- (Optional) Modify the Task Name.
- Click Recover to start the Jira recovery task.
The recovery task is initiated, and the Jira Cloud instance is recovered based on the selected snapshot and recovery options.
