Redesigned User Interface
Cohesity has redesigned the Cohesity Data Cloud user interface (UI) to enhance usability, streamline workflows, and reduce navigation complexity. This update introduces a centralized Apps menu, enabling you to launch apps directly. This results in a faster, more intuitive, and efficient navigation experience.
Previously, accessing an app was a two-step process: selecting a pillar and then choosing the desired app. With the new UI, users can now launch apps directly from the Apps icon. This eliminates the need to remember which pillar an app belongs to, reducing cognitive load and improved accessibility:
Key Enhancements
-
A new Apps icon is now available in the navigation bar on the left. Clicking this icon opens a unified view of all apps available within the Cohesity Data Cloud. Apps are categorized into:
-
My Apps: Apps you are entitled to or have subscribed to.
-
Discover More Apps: A complete list of apps offered by Cohesity, enabling exploration and discovery.
-
-
Persistent docking for quick access: Once an app is launched from My Apps, it is automatically docked to the left navigation bar. Docked apps remain persistent across sessions, providing quick access to frequently used apps.
-
Hovering over a docked app provides the following options:
-
Open: Launch the app directly.
-
Unpin from dock: Remove the app from the navigation bar if no longer needed.
